The Eaton boys tennis faced the currently ranked #2 DII school in the area and it showed. Miami Valley had too much fire power and experience for Eaton to overcome. Andrew Collins at 1st singles put forth a great effort and actually played some his best tennis at this point in the season. Unfortunately for every great play or great shot he had his opponent had an answer for. At second singles, John Altom had many competitive points even though the score doesn’t reflect it. For the rest of the crew, it’s certainly baptism by fire. The double’s teams are facing some real strong competition and slowly picking up some things that will help them next time out. There is an art and a science to good doubles play and our guys are just very inexperienced.
Up next is another accomplished opponent and league rival Bellbrook. This loss brings the Eagles to 0-3.
