For their fourth league match of the season the lady Eagles were all business as they traveled to take on the Valley View Spartans. The three singles positions played very efficient matches and did not drop a game collectively. Macy, Sophia, and Grace continue their fast start and hope to stay sharp as some of their toughest matches are yet to come.
At the doubles spots, Tess and Erika took care of their court and continue to develop chemistry. Anna and Haneet on the other hand, had to battle themselves as much as their opponents. They just were not on their A game and give some credit to Valley View for that. The girls were just not taking care of the ball and committing their fair share of unforced errors. Fortunately, they were able to find away to get the win while not playing their best. This is the one thing that I really like specific to this sport. Unlike a traditional team sport, I can’t bring someone off the bench when players are having a bad day. Tennis players have to figure it out. Adjust, problem solve, try harder, etc. Exactly what these girls are going to need to do in life.
The win brings the Eagles to 4-0 in league play and 8-1 overall.
