The Eaton High School Cross Country Program will host the 50th Annual Eaton Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 14th. The event will once again be held at historic Fort St. Clair Park in Eaton, where close to 900 runners will take to the course in one of the premier events in Southwest Ohio.
Eaton High School’s Boys and Girls teams will look to put forth impressive performances in their respective Division II races. The boys will try to defend their in 1st place overall finish in Division II last year. They were led by then junior Alex McCarty who won the race with a time of 16.52.8. The next Eagles to cross the finish line were now senior Alex Newport (fourth) and now junior Jack Bortel (fifth).
On the Girls side, Eaton will also look to repeat as champions. Sophomore Ali Mowen crossed the finish line first for the Eagles last year with a time of 22.13.0 (7th overall).
New to the event, all spectator parking will be at the High School/Middle School where there will be a $5 Parking/Admission charge per vehicle. There will also be a shuttle bus service for those spectators not wishing to walk to the Fort.
