Eagles News · Wrestling Finishes 12th at Districts, Monebrake Qualifies to State

Eaton High School’s Varsity Wrestling program qualified one athlete to the OHSAA Division II State Wrestling Championships this coming week at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

At the OHSAA District Championships held on Friday and Saturday, March 2nd and 3rd at Wilmington High School, Junior Wade Monebrake (132lb. weight class) finished in 1st place.  The 1st Place finish qualifies Monebrake to the OHSAA State Championship Meet this weekend. Other Eagle District Participants included: Seth Bowman, Owen Hewitt, Seth Hodapp, Christian Michael, Spencer Reynolds, Zac Schmidt, and Tyler Schmidt.

As a team, Eaton finished in 12th Place overall at the OHSAA Division II District Championships with a team score of 41.5 points. OHSAA State Team Dual Champion Graham High School finished in 1st Place with an overall score of 341 points followed by Runner Up Chaminade-Julienne (104.5 points) and 3rd Place Circleville High School (100 points).
