The Eaton High School Boys and Girls Swimming teams concluded their regular season schedule last Friday, February 2, as they competed in the Southwestern Buckeye League Championships held at Trotwood Madison High School.
The Boys team finished in 2nd place overall while the Girls finished in 5th place overall.
Tyler Gregory finished in 1st place in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 2nd place in the 100 Yard Freestyle event with times of 23.20 and 51.35 . Josh Pool (57.45) and Nate Crammer (1:01.68) finished in 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the 100 Yard Butterfly. The Boys 200 Freestyle Relay team of Nate Crammer, Tyler Gregory, Josh Pool and Aaron Scholl finished in 2nd place with a time of 1:35.88. Those same swimmers, with the addition of Conley Mitchell for Aaron Scholl, combined to finish 2nd in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:46.36.
On the Girls side, Abby Liddy placed 1st in the 50 Yard freestyle with a time of 27.25. The Girls 200 Medley Relay team of Maddie Baker, Lauren Ferguson, Sasha Taxter, and Abby Liddy broke a school record on their way to a 3rd place finish with a time of 2:01.65.
The Eagles will move on to their OHSAA Sectional Tournament competition this Friday and Saturday, February 9 and 10. The OHSAA Boys Division II Sectional will be held on Friday, February 9 at Trotwood Madison High School beginning at 6:30pm. The Girls OHSAA Division II Sectional will also take place at Trotwood Madison High School on Saturday, February 10 beginning at 10:00am.
