Multiple Teams · Wrestling Finishes 12th at Districts, Manning Qualifies to State


Eaton High School’s Varsity Wrestling program qualified one athlete to the OHSAA Division II State Wrestling Championships this coming week at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

At the OHSAA District Championships held on Friday and Saturday, March 3rd and 4th at Wilmington High School, Senior Coleman Manning (132lb. weight class) finished in 4th place. Wade Monebrake (120lb. weight class) finished in 5th Place by defeating Dustin Robbins of Reading High School by a score of 6-0. Additionally, Junior Seth Hodapp (170 lbs.weight class) finished in 6th place. The 4th Place finish qualifies Manning to the OHSAA State Championship Meet this weekend. This will be the first OHSAA State Tournament appearance for Coleman.

As a team, Eaton finished tied for 12th Place overall at the OHSAA Division II District Championships with a team score of 45 points. OHSAA State Team Dual Champion Graham High School finished in 1st Place with an overall score of 321.5 points followed by Runner Up Western Brown (164 points) and 3rd Place Circleville High School (96 points).
