Eagles News · Travis Miller Named Athletic Director

At their June 27th meeting, the Eaton Community Schools Board of Education approved the hiring of Travis Miller as the school district’s new Athletic Director. Travis comes to Eaton Community Schools after serving for the past five years as the High School and Junior High School Athletic Director for the Tri-County North Local School District in Preble County. Additionally, Travis has held coaching positions in multiple sports at various levels.

During his tenure at Tri-County North, Mr. Miller oversaw a comprehensive athletic program that included multiple individual state qualifiers in Wrestling and Track & Field, two OHSAA District Championships in Baseball, and OHSAA Football Playoff appearances in 4 of the last 5 years.

Prior to serving as the Athletic Director at Tri-County North, Travis spent ten years as professional baseball player in the Minnesota Twins organization, with seven of those seasons at the major league level.

On being named the Athletic Director for Eaton Community Schools Mr. Miller shared, “I’m very excited to join the Eaton family and look forward to carrying on the strong athletic tradition of the Eaton Fighting Eagles”.

Travis and his wife Sarah along with their four children reside in Eaton.
