Multiple Teams · Girls Basketball Improves to 7-1

The Eaton High School Girls Varsity Basketball team improved their record to 7-1 overall (3-0 in the SWBL Southwestern Division) on Monday night with a 54-21 victory over county rival National Trail High School.

Three Eagles starters finished the evening in double figures led by junior Julia Titus (12 points, 7 rebounds & 3 blocks). Seniors Autumn Whirley and Elizabeth Tolliver also contributed to the Eagles scoring efforts adding 13 and 10 points respectively.

In addition to a balanced scoring effort, the Eagles strong defense was again a significant factor in Monday night’s game. The Eagles combined for 14 steals and 8 blocks on the night, while grabbing a total of 41 rebounds (27 defensively).

Looking ahead the Eagles travel to Brookville High School on Thursday, December 18. Brookville enters Thursday’s game 1-2 overall (1-1 in the SWBL Southwestern Division). Game time is 7:15pm.
