The Eaton Community Schools Board of Education approved the hiring of Sean Sims as the next Boys Varsity Basketball Coach on June 12, 2017.

Prior to being named head coach, Coach Sims completed his second season as a graduate assistant with the University of Northern Illinois men’s basketball program. Sims was responsible for video breakdown, assisting in scouting, player development and the day to day operations of the program.

Coach Sims joined NIU following four seasons as a student manager at Ohio University, including the last two as the Bobcats’ head manager. During his time at Ohio, Sims worked under current Akron head coach John Groce, current Boston College head coach Jim Christian and Saul Phillips.  In 2012, Coach Sims worked with the MAC Champion Bobcat team that reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

On being named the Head Coach of the Eagles Sean Sims  shared, ” I’m excited to be a part of Eaton Schools and work with these young men and teach them the game of basketball – and build a program the community will take pride in.  We will work together to try and reach the goals we all have of consistently battling for league titles.”
