The Girls Tennis team earned another SWBL Southwestern Division  victory on Tuesday, September 1st when they hosted Brookville High School. In a well contested match, the Eagles earned 3-2 victory over the Blue Devils at the Brooke Gould Memorial Tennis Complex.

The Eagles were led by seniors Tess Flynn (1st singles – 3-6,6-3,6-2), Kyra Houle and Honoka Sato (1st doubles – 6-2,4-6,6-1) and sophomores Barbara Ann Grant and Mariah Brewer (2nd doubles – 6-7 (2), 7-6 (5), 6-3) who all won their matches in 3 sets.

Eaton Head Coach John Hitchcock shared, “I’m very proud of the fight, effort, and focus our team put forth to pull out this match. In tennis, when you’re able to win tiebreakers and three set matches it’s more about mental toughness than it is about the tennis. As a program, this is our best win since I was named the head coach. It’s possibly been a decade or two since Eaton’s last win versus Brookville.”

The Eagles will be back on the court Thursday, September 3 when they host Carlisle at the Brooke Gould Memorial Tennis Complex at 4:30pm.
